If anyone is going to do something shocking for Paris Fashion Week, it’s this one Kylie Jenner, 25. Hours after rocking a faux lion head over her black velvet Schiaparelli dress, the makeup artist shocked fans with another unique ensemble on Jan. 23. Interestingly, it wasn’t the figure-hugging blue dress that started the controversy, but rather the noose-like necklace around Kylie’s neck. The outfit not only consisted of the floor-length dress, but the former billionaire made sure to add clear sunglasses and pink sequined boots.

After hitting the streets of Paris in the look, the mother-of-two took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos with the controversial piece. Kylie didn’t add a caption to the post, but her 379 million followers had something to say. “No offense [sic] but you should hire me as your fashion consultant. I’m so disappointed in you,’ one of King Kylie’s followers wrote, while another chimed in: ‘You need a better stylist.’

More online fashionistas also took to Twitter to react to Kylie’s statement afterwards PEOPLE tweeted about the necklace. “Just leaves a bad taste,” one Twitter user responded, while another added, “Kylie never learns.” A third follower tried to play down the matter and referenced an earlier Kylie ensemble. “Perhaps she plans to use it to reel in the lion?” they wrote along with an eye-rolling emoji. The dress, boots and necklace were designed by Givenchy, who notably also introduced the accessory on the runway (see PHOTO HERE).

Kylie’s shocking jewelry choice, as mentioned above, comes hours after she wore a faux lion head during the Schiaparelli show while attending Paris Haute Couture Week on Monday. She wasn’t the only A-lister rocking faux animal like models either Naomi Campbell, Irina Shakeand Shalom Harlow, everyone moved with the animals on the track. Kylie and Irina, 37, twinned in identical lion heads, while Naomi sported a black wolf and Shalom rocked a rare faux snow leopard. All of the hand-painted animal heads are created using “foam, resin, wool and silk faux fur,” according to the designer’s Instagram page.

Aside from the bold fashion, both pieces come two days after the Kylie Cosmetics founder debuted photos of her son, Air, 11 months, on Instagram. She captioned the photos with just her baby boy’s name, a moniker the public didn’t know for months. Her son was originally legally named Wolf Webster, but she said that would not be his name during an interview on September 8, 2022. The Late Late Show with James Corden.
